The Perfect Time To Sell!

Market On Fire: Ever wonder what a seller's market looks like? This is it! The Mini-Cassia market has appreciated 16% since last year. That's an average of 1.5% per month. This is great news for sellers and all indicators are saying "sell, sell, sell". 

Quick Reality Check: Though there are still many positive indicators that would suggest this upward trend in home prices will continue, there are some out there that may slow it down. Because of the strong economy, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates this past month and is projected to increase them 2 more times this year. This will directly impact the housing market. Buyers will simply not be able to afford to pay as much for a home. 

One other very important consideration: markets always correct. No doubt, a correction is coming. The only question is: when?

Do It Now: Since no one has a "crystal ball" to tell what will happen next, we need to look at what we know to be true and make our decisions based on facts. The fact is: the housing market is very strong, with prices be up and the housing supply down. My advice to anyone who may want to move between today and 8-10 years from now is: SELL NOW! Obviously getting the highest price for your home is a factor, but there is another one to consider. Not all homes sell easily. In a seller's market like this, hard-to-sell homes have the best chance of getting sold. The longer you wait, the greater the risk of the market correcting and falling out from under you.
